MYO Summer Camp at Long Bay Camp is coming once again for a 30th year! The registration for Long Bay Camp is OPEN. Go to the camp website for details!
Ask anyone who's ever been, and they'll tell you attending MYO's Summer Camp at Long Bay Camp is one of THE BEST experiences they've ever had. The camp which is open to boys and girls will be held between August 18-24 this year. Only 80 lucky campers will get to attend. Some travel from as far as the Middle East, Europe, and southern US just to attend.

Background The high school Friday prayers (Jumuahs) is the main service that the Muslim Youth of Ottawa help facilitate. Alhamdulillah (praise be to God), there are 17 schools across the city that hold Friday prayers. The Friday prayer is mandatory for all Muslim men of age to complete. Many high school students, however, don't have the luxury of being able to leave school to offer Friday prayers at the local Mosque and still be able to return to school on time for class. It is for this reason that for the past 14 years MYO has been facilitating this service. |
